SHELL GAMES - shell stud earrings

Hand crafted brass shell stud earrings. Featuring sea shells that I collected in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Shells are set in brass and ear wire is 18g sterling silver. Earrings are polished to a nice shine, then finished with Renaissance Wax to slow tarnishing. Each earring is approximately 1'“ wide x 0.75” tall.

With my shell pieces I am working to celebrate the beauty of the sea and not to exploit it. When I do go to my local beaches and collect a few select shells, I also collect as much garbage and plastic along the shore as possible. Even the most remote areas are littered with single use plastic amongst other trash. In the future I hope to parter with an organization that helps to keep our waterways clean and collect ocean pollution and donate a portion of my sea pieces to such organizations.
