LOST AT SEA - Shell + Brass Necklace

Hand crafted brass pendant showcasing a shell I collected from New Smyrna Beach, Florida. This pendant is finished with a black patina and then polished to a nice shine. It is paired with vintage, salvaged, glass bead and brass chain and finished with a hand crafted brass clasp. Chain is approximately 23" (58.4cm) long. Pendant measures approximately 1.25" (3.2cm) wide x 1.5" (3.8cm) tall.

With my shell pieces I am working to celebrate the beauty of the sea and not to exploit it. When I do go to my local beaches and collect a few select shells, I also collect as much garbage and plastic along the shore as possible. Even the most remote areas are littered with single use plastic amongst other trash. In the future I hope to parter with an organization that helps to keep our waterways clean and collect ocean pollution and donate a portion of my sea pieces to such organizations.
